Route the air hose along a safe route 2. to reach the work area without creating a tripping hazard or exposing the air hose to possible damage. The air hose must be long enough to reach the work area with enough extra length to allow free movement while working. Secure loose workpieces using a vise 3. or clamps (not included) to prevent movement while working. There must not be hazardous objects 4. (such as utility lines or foreign objects) nearby or in the surface being cut that will present a hazard while working. General Operating Instructions If an automatic oiler is not used, 1. add a few drops of Pneumatic Tool Oil to the airline connection before use. Add a few drops more after each hour of continual use. Adjust the Guide Plate as necessary 2. and connect the airline to the Saw. Throttle Lever (35) Safety Catch 3. Push the Safety Catch forward and pull the Throttle Lever (35) up to start the Blade. The rotation speed of the Blade can 4. be varied by adjusting the amount of pressure applied to the Throttle Lever. Holding the Throttle all the way down will yield the maximum rotation speed of 620 RPM. The Saw can be used to cut plastic, 5. fiberglass, wood paneling, sheet steel up to 14 gauge (~0.0788” thick), and sheet aluminum up to 3 gauge (~0.2995” thick). If the tool requires more force to 6. accomplish the task, verify that the tool receives sufficient, unobstructed airflow (CFM) and increase the pressure (PSI) output of the regulator up to the maximum air pressure rating of this tool. CAUTION! 7. To prevent tool and accessory failure, resulting in injury: Do not exceed the tool’s 90 PSI maximum air pressure rating. If the tool still does not have sufficient force at maximum pressure and sufficient airflow, then a larger tool may be required. To prevent accidents, turn off the 8. tool, detach the air supply, safely discharge any residual air pressure in the tool, and release the throttle and/ or turn the switch to its off position after use. Clean external surfaces of the tool with clean, dry cloth, and apply a thin coat of tool oil. Then store the tool indoors out of children’s reach. User-Maintenance Instructions Procedures not specifically explained in this manual must be performed only by a qualified technician. To prevent serious injury from accidental operation: Turn off the tool, detach the air supply, safely discharge any residual air pressure in the tool, and release the throttle and/or turn the switch to its off position before performing any inspection, maintenance, or cleaning procedures. To prevent serious injury from tool failure: Do not use damaged equipment. If abnormal noise, vibration, or leaking air occurs, have the problem corrected before further use. To prevent explosion: Lubricate the tool only with specified lubricants. Lubricate the air inlet using only pneumatic tool oil. Lubricate the internal mechanism using only white lithium grease. Other lubricants may damage the mechanism and may be highly flammable, causing an explosion. Cleaning, Maintenance, and Lubrication Note: These procedures are in addition to the regular checks and maintenance explained as part of the regular operation of the air-operated tool. Daily - Air Supply Maintenance: 1. Every day, perform maintenance on the air supply according to the component manufacturers’ instructions. The lubricator’s oil level needs to be maintained and the moisture filter must be regularly drained. Performing routine maintenance on the air supply will allow the tool to operate more safely and will also reduce wear on the tool. As needed - Blade Replacement: 2. When cutting performance begins to diminish, the blade will need to be changed. Insert a 4mm Hex Wrench (47) into a. the Blade Bolt (7), and the other 4mm Hex Wrench into the hole in the Case Cover (11). Hold the Hex Wrench on the Case b. Cover side still and turn the other counterclockwise to loosen the Blade Bolt. Remove the Blade Bolt and Blade c. Bolt Flange (6). Remove the Blade and replace with d. a new 2” Diameter Blade. Replace all hardware and secure e. with the Blade Bolt. Troubleshooting Problem Possible Causes Likely Solutions Decreased output. Not enough air pressure and/1. or air flow. Obstructed trigger. 2.
