Avoid water contact! .Do not get the appliance wet. Doing so may result in electric shock, short circuit, or fire. .Do not use with wet hands. Doing so may result in electric shock or short circuit. CAUTION! Prohibited! .Do not touch the steam, the steam outlet, or iron plate. Doing so may result in burns. . Do not bring hands or other exposed skin areas carelessly close to the steam. The steam is not visible, but it can burn you. . Do not remove the tank during use or immediately after use. (Remove the tank only after the appliance has cooled down.) Removing the tank when the appliance is hot may result in burns. . Do not touch the cap when attaching or removing the tank, or immediately after use. Doing so may result in burns. . Do not bring the appliance close to your face with the press plate closed when taking a lock of hair. Doing so may result in burns. To avoid burns, always take a lock of hair with the press plate opened. . Do not release steam in one area for a long period of time. Do not release steam directly against the skin. Doing so may result in burns. .Keep hands away from steam released. Failure to do so may result in burns. . Do not leave the appliance unattended while the power is on. The steam and iron plate are extremely hot and may cause fire or the discoloration or warping of nearby objects. . Do not use the appliance on infants or for anything other than hair. Filling the tank with water 1 11Pull the tank straight out in a slightly upward direction, while pressing buttons on both sides of the tank. 2 22Open the plug of the tank and soak the felt part inside of the cap (about 5-6 seconds). • The hair straightener may have difficulty releasing steam if the felt is dry. In this case, thoroughly soak the felt (approximately 10 minutes) before use. 3 33Fill the tank with water, and then securely attach the plug. • Use only tap water. (Use of other types of water may damage the hair straightener.) • Be sure not to let dirt get between the plug and tank. (Dirt may cause water leakage.) Wipe off excess water before attaching the tank. (Excess water may cause hot water droplets to be generated.) 4 44Align the tank with the end of the hair straightener and attach it from above. 5 55Push the tank in until a click is heard. .Notes • Note that the surface of the hair straightener becomes hot if used without water. • The hair straightener can be used for approximately 10 minutes on a full tank of water. • Before attaching the tank to the hair straightener, be sure to shake the hair straightener - times with the open (tank) end facing down to drain out any water. Hot water droplets may be discharged if water remains in the hair straightener. English • Replacement of the tank block is suggested after one year (due to clogging of the felt inside the cap). Replacement parts are available at your dealer. Using the hair straightener 1 11Brush your hair to take out any tangles. • This prevents hairs from being cut. 2 22Set the switch to “2”. Once steam is released, take a bundle of hair and clamp it with the press plate underneath the hair. • When straightening bundles of hair at -6 cm widths, pull gently.
