Do not stop at any one point when using the cup. Do not use on areas marked CZZI. • Do not use the Pore Cleanser around your eyes, head, hairline border or on areas of thin skin. • Do not use the Pore Cleanser on pimples, blemishes, sunburned or broken skin or any skin inflammations. • If you have sensitive skin, take care not to use the Pore Cleanser on the same point more than twice. 2 If you use the Pore Cleanser soon after washing it with water, the suction force may be too strong, causing purple spots or scars to appear on your skin. • After washing the Pore Cleanser, turn it on and leave it running for about 30 seconds. Then wipe the water from inside the Pore Cleanser before using again. Operating Instructions Parts Identification — Cap 3 Installing the Battery * Make sure that your hands and the unit are dry during installation. Be careful not to allow water to get inside of the unit. 1 • To remove the battery cover, insert the edge of a coin into the groove and rotate. 2. Insert one “AA” alkaline battery into the unit by aligning the © and 0 marks as shown in the illustration. 3. Reattach the battery cover and secure it by rotating the coin. © Insert © Reattack • Only use an “AA” alkaline battery. Other batteries may not provide sufficient power or perform for the same duration. • Remove the batteries from the unit if it will not be used for a prolonged period of time. Service life of the batteries The typical service life for one “AA” alkaline battery is two months (based on five-minute periods of use, twice per week). How to Use the Cups Before using the Pore Cleanser for the first time, practice pulling the cup off the skin on the area of your upper arm. Remove your finger from the pressure-release hole when pulling the unit away from your skin, ^^ N Do not pull away vertically from your skin. Do not allow the unit to slide when pulling it away from your skin. 4 Treating Your Skin Using Suction_ • For best results the pores of the skin should be well opened. For this reason it is a good idea to perform your skin care routine during or just after a bath or shower. The heat of the hot water will tend to open your pores. • We recommend that skin care with suction be performed two or three times a week. • When applying suction to your skin, place your finger over the pressure-release hole. Remove your finger from the pressure-release hole when pulling the unit away from your skin. 1 • Remove any make-up from your face. Apply small amount of water on your face. Do not use when your skin is coated with cleansing lotion or facial soap. 2. Attach the cup socket, making sure that the nose cup is facing outward. Then turn the switch on. 3. Cover the pressure-release hole with your finger and move the Pore Cleanser slowly around the tip of the nose, as shown by the arrows. (See the picture on the next page) Remove your finger from the pressure-release hole when pulling the unit away from your skin. Nose cup 5 'Around the Tip of the Nose Using the nose cup © Wet your skin slightly with water. Do not use cosmetic products or toiletries. © Apply the Pore Cleanser around the tip of your nose by sliding it in the direction illustrated above. © Continue to treat your entire lower area of your nose for ^ approx. one minute._^ 4. Fit the cup with the forehead/chin cup side facing outward, then turn the switch on again. 5« Covering the pressure-release hole down with your finger, move the Pore Cleanser over face from the center to the outside as shown by the arrows. (See the picture on the next page) Forehead/chin cup "Forehead and Chin 0 Wet your skin slightly with water. Do not use cosmetic products or toiletries. © Apply the Pore Cleanser around your forehead and chin by sliding it in the direction illustrated above. (3) Continue to treat your entire forehead and chin for approx. two minutes. * Do not use the product on your cheeks, as the skin on this part of your face does not contain ^ much sebum._j 6. Rinse your face, and apply moisturizing lotion or any other skin conditioner that you normally use. User-Maintenance Instructions_ After using the Pore Cleanser both the main body and the cup can be washed using water. 1 • Put some warm water in a washbowl. Do not use hot water (over 150°F(70°C)) Note: The pressure-release hole must be covered while cleaning. * Do not use detergent. 2. Remove the cup. Turn the unit on, then soak the suction point in water, and clean for approximately 15 seconds while keeping the pres-sure-release hole covered. 3. Pull the main body out of the water, keeping the switch on with the pressure-release hole covered by a finger for about 30 seconds to allow water to drain from the main body. 7 4. Wipe the main body and the cup with facial tissues or cotton swabs, taking particular care to clean carefully inside the cup.
