Insert the battery Remove the battery cover and insert two AA alkaline batteries, ensuring they're properly aligned. Click the cover closed. To ensure the best performance and battery life, you should use high-quality alkaline batteries or rechargeable NiMH batteries. Press the power button on the controller to turn it on. Press and hold the power button for three seconds to turn it off. If the controller is idle for 90 seconds, it will enter standby/energy-save mode; power will be restored when the controller detects motion. 11 If the controller is low on power, the player LED will blink to remind you to change the batteries. Player LEDs 1 to 4 will each flash once, in order, before the power LED turns blue indicating that the power is on. • Insert the receiver into a USB port and press the SYNC button once. The receiver LED will flash for 6 to 8 seconds until a connection is made. • Press any button on the controller to complete synchronization. • Once a connection is established, the receiver LED and the player LED will remain lit. • If you cannot connect successfully, press the receiver button again and repeat the steps above. Once the controller and the receiver are synchronized once, there is no need to repeat the process. LED SYNC button Use the controller The controller can be used in a number of motions in games or to control features on your computer. • Wave: Wave the controller up and down; or from side to side. 13 • Push or Pull: Move the controller forward or backward, toward or away from the screen. • Twist: Move the controller in a twisting motion by rotating your arm. The controller can be held in either the gun or straight mode, switch between modes by gently twisting the controller as illustrated. Do not force the controller to twist. While playing games, make sure to use the wrist strap and maintain a secure grip on the controller. Turn left Turn right The controller can also be used as a mouse to control your computer. 3D Mouse mode This mode can be used in both straight and gun mode. The 3D mouse mode can be enabled and disabled by pressing Home and Button B simultaneously to switch between the browsing and non-browsing mouse modes. In the browsing mode, move the mouse cursor will move up and down, left and right by moving your wrist in the intended direction. In this mode, if the mouse cursor goes beyond the borders of the screen, press Button A to freeze the mouse cursor and move the controller position to reposition the cursor on screen. In the non-browsing mode, hold button A down to move the mouse. When you release button A is released the mouse cursor will stop moving. Press the trigger button to perform a left-click. Press button C to perform a right-click. 17 Note: The default mode of the controller is the browsing mode. If the cursor goes beyond the borders of the screen, use Button A to move the cursor to the edge of the screen for re-centering. Play games Click the Game icon to view the available games.
