SOLEUS INTERNATIONAL HAS NOT CONDUCTED INDEPENDENT TEST TO THE INFORMATION AND THE SPECIFICATIONS PRESENTED HEREWITHIN. SAFETY FEATURES Tip-Over Safety Switch This heater is equipped with a tip-over safety switch located underneath the base of the heater. This switch must be pressed inward for the heater to function properly. Some soft surfaces such as carpet may not be able to fully press in this switch. For some soft surfaces, a hard flat object will need to be placed underneath the heater for it to function properly. PLEASE DO NOT TAPE OR GLUE THIS SWITCH. SAFETYSWITCHBOTTOMOFTHEHEATER WARNING: This heater is for use on 120 volts. The cord has a plug as shown in A. An adapter as shown in C is available for connecting three-blade grounding- type plugs to two-slot receptacles. The grounding lug extending from the adapter must be connected to a permanent ground such as a properly grounded outlet box. The adapter should not be used if a three-slot grounded receptacle is available. DO NOT DEFEAT THE SAFETY PURPOSE OF THE GROUNDED PLUG. PRODUCT DIAGRAM ASSEMBLY Remove the heater body, two base pieces, and fastening screw from the box. Remove the packaging materials and keep for future storage. Lay the heater body on a level surface. To assemble the base, insert the 6 round pegs of base B into the round holes of base A until you hear a clicking noise. (Figure 1) Pull the power cord through the hole at the center of the base, and align the base with the bottom of the heater. The power cord should fit through the slot in the base. Screw on the fastener to finish as- sembly. (Figure 2) Fix the remote control holder on the back of the heater. (Figure 3) Figure 1 Figure 2 Figure 3 OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS 1. Place the heater on a firm, level surface and plug into a grounded 115V 60Hz power outlet. 2. Press the ON/OFF button once to turn on the heater. The POWER indicator light will turn on. To shut the heater off, press the ON/OFF button once more. 3. Press the H/L button to select the desired heat setting. The corresponding indicator light will turn on. LOW: heating up to 450W, HIGH: heating up to 900W 4. To operate the timer, press the TIMER button repeatedly to select the desired setting: 4H: 4 hours, 2H: 2 hours, 1H: 1 hour, 0.5H: 30 minutes. The heater will shut off automatically once the desired time period has expired. 5. To operate the oscillation function, press the SWING button. The corresponding indicator light will turn on and the unit will oscillate 80° to the left and right. Press the SWING button once more to turn the oscilla- tion off. WARNING: Do not stop the oscillation function of the heater by force. 6. All functions can also be operated with the remote. (Image Below) 7. Unplug the heater when not in use. MS-14R CONTROL PANEL MS-14R REMOTE CONTROL MAINTENANCE 1. Unplug the unit and let it cool completely. 2. To keep the heater clean, the outer shell may be cleaned with a soft, damp cloth. You may use a mild detergent if necessary. After cleaning, dry the unit with a soft cloth. CAUTION: DO NOT let liquid enter the heater. 3. DO NOT use alcohol, gasoline, abrasive powders, furniture polish, or rough brushes to clean the heater. This may cause damage or deterioration to the surface of the heater. 4. DO NOT immerse the heater in water. 5. Wait until the unit is completely dry before use. STORAGE Store the heater in a cool, dry location when not in use. Preferably, to prevent dust and dirt build-up, use the old packaging to repack the unit. TROUBLESHOOTING If the heater will not operate, please check the following before seeking repair of service: HEATER WILL NOT WORK 1. Check if the power cord is plugged into an electrical outlet, if not, plug in. 2. Check if electricity to the main fuse is working. 3. Check if the heater is on HIGH or LOW by confirming that one of the corresponding indicator lights is on. If not, press the H/L button to turn on. 4. Check if the heater is on a firm, level surface. If the tip-over safety switch is not pushed in, the heater will not run. HEATER WILL NOT OSCILLATE 1. Check if the SWING indicator light is on. If not, press the SWING button to turn on oscillation. 2. Confirm that nothing is blocking the movement of the heater. WARRANTY One Year Limited Warranty Soleus International Inc. warrants the accompanying Soleus Air heater to be free of defects in material and workman- ship for the applications specified in its operation instruction for a period of ONE (1) year from the date of original re- tail purchase in the United States. If the unit exhibits a defect in normal use, Soleus International Inc. will, at its option, either repair or replace it, free of charge within a reasonable time after the unit is returned during the warranty period. As a condition to any warranty service obligation, the consumer must present this Warranty Certificate along with a copy of the original purchase invoice.
