Important. We strongly advise you to use Philips LR6 PowerLife batteries.They supply sufficient energy for approx. 40 minutes of shaving. . To avoid damage due to battery leakage: - do not expose the Ladyshave to direct sunlight; - do not expose the appliance to temperatures higher than 35°C; - remove the batteries if the appliance is not going to be used for a month or more; - do not leave empty batteries in the appliance. . If the mains cord of this appliance is damaged, it may only be replaced by Philips or a service centre authorised by Philips in order to avoid hazardous situations. Preparing for use. IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII Inserting the batteries Use two R6 AA 1.5 volt batteries. 1 Make sure that your hands and the Ladyshave are dry when you insert the batteries. 2 Pull the upper part of the appliance off the lower part (fig. 1). 3 Insert the two batteries into the battery compartment (fig. 2). B Make sure the + and - marks on the batteries match those in the battery compartment. 4 Reattach the lower part of the appliance to the upper part. The Ladyshave is now ready for use. Corded shaving B It is not necessary to remove the batteries from the Ladyshave in case of corded use. 1 Put the appliance plug in the Ladyshave (fig. 3). 2 Put the adapter plug in the wall socket. The Ladyshave is now ready for use. Using the appliance. IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII 1 Switch the Ladyshave on by pressing the button (fig. 4). 2 Place the shaving unit gently on the skin and move the Ladyshave slowly against the direction of hair growth while pressing it lightly. . The Ladyshave is suitable for shaving the underarms (fig. 5). . The Ladyshave is suitable for shaving the bikini line (fig. 6). . The Ladyshave is suitable for shaving the legs (fig. 7). . When shaving hard-to-reach areas or longer hairs, push the slide upwards to move the shaving unit in upper position (fig. 8). Cleaning and maintenanceIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII. After every use Clean the Ladyshave every time you have used it. Do not use any corrosive detergents, scouring pads or cloths, petrol, acetone etc. to clean the appliance. 1 Switch the Ladyshave off. B If the Ladyshave is connected to the mains, pull the adapter plug out of the wall socket. 2 Remove the shaving foil (fig. 9). Do not exert any pressure on the shaving foil to avoid damage. 3 Gently shake the shaving foil to remove hairs. 4 Brush the shaving foil with the brush supplied. 5 Remove the cutter block (fig. 10). 6 Gently shake the Ladyshave to remove hairs from the hair chamber. 7 Brush the hair chamber (fig. 11). 8 Reassemble the Ladyshave and put the protection cap on the appliance before storing it (fig. 12). B Please make sure that the shaving unit is in the lower position when you put the protection cap on the appliance. The protection cap fits with a click. Twice a year . Lubricate the shaving foil with a drop of sewing machine oil twice a year (fig. 13). Replacement.
