You can transfer your digital music and picture collection from your computer to your player using Windows Media Player. More information on music transfer can be found in section Organize and transfer pictures and music with Windows Media Player in this user manual. 5.1.1 Controls During music playback, you can do the following: To Do this Play / Pause music Press 2; Skip to next song Press 2 Return to previous song Press 1 Fast forward Press and hold 2 Fast rewind Press and hold 1 Return to browsing menu Long/short press MENU Increase volume Press VOL + Decrease volume Press VOL 5.1.2 Find your music 1 1 From the main menu, select to enter music mode. You can search from the following music options: 2 Press 3 or 4 to scroll through the list. 3 Press 2 to select or press 1 to return to previous level. 4 Press 2; to play your selection. Tip Superplay™ allows you to playback the selected music or album immediately at any point by pressing 2; on the selection. All songs Alphabetically listed tracks Artists Alphabetically listed artists Alphabetically listed albums Tracks listed in album order Albums art Alphabetically listed album art Albums Alphabetically listed albums Tracks listed in album order Genres Alphabetically listed genres Alphabetically listed artists Alphabetically listed albums Tracks listed in album order Playlists Playlists collections Tracks listed in play order 5.1.3 Play mode You can set your player to play songs randomly (Shuffle All ) or repeatedly (Repeat One or Repeat All ). 1 From the main menu, select > Play mode. 2 Press 3 or 4 to scroll up or down the options. 3 Press 2 to select an option. While you are playing music, you can see the above active play mode screen. Note Digital Rights Management (DRM) Information If you have songs that have been bought online stored on your player, from time to time you may see a message pop up “Licence problem”. This is because the license for the song on the player may have expired and synchronizing with the computer will help to update this license with the latest information. 5.2 Equalizer (sound settings) Set your player to play songs with different EQ (equalizers) settings. 1 1 From the main menu, select > Sound settings. 2 Press 3 or 4 to scroll through the list of options: Rock, Funk, Jazz, Classical, HipHop, Techno, Custom, or Off. You can select one of them. Note Custom settings allow you to specify your desired equalizer settings by adjusting the individual settings for bass (B), low (L), mid (M), high (H) and treble (T). 3 Press 2 to select. 5.3 Playlist on the go Playlist on the go is a playlist that can be created on the player while on the move. You can create up to 3 different Playlists on the go. All songs will be displayed and listed in play order in the playlist. New songs are automatically added to the end of the playlist. 5.3.1 Add songs to playlist on the go Press PLAYLIST to select the song to be added to the playlist on the go. If you have created more than one playlist on the go, the playlists on the go will be displayed in numerical order. Use the 3 / 4 keys to select the playlist on the go to which you wish to add the song and press 2 to confirm. 5.3.2 Play back playlist on the go 1 Select > Playlists > Playlist on the go 1 (or Playlist on the go 2 / Playlist on the go 3, if available). 2 Select your playlist and press 2;. 5.3.3 Add playlist on the go You can create up to 3 playlists on the go. 1 Select > Playlists > Create playlist on the go. 5.3.4 Clear playlist on the go You can clear the playlist completely. 1 Press PLAYLIST and select Clear 'Playlist on the go 1'? (or 'Playlist on the go 2' / 'Playlist on the go 3'). 2 Select Clear 'Playlist on the go'. 3 Select Clear to confirm clearing all the songs in the selected playlist on the go, or select Cancel to return to the previous menu. > A message Cleared! will be displayed. Tip This will empty playlist on the go but will not delete those songs from your player. 5.4 Other playlists You can transfer playlists to the player using Windows Media Player. See section Manage your Windows Media Player playlist - Transfer playlists in this user manual for details. 5.4.1 Delete playlist from your player You can only delete your player's playlists (except for Playlist on the go) via Windows Explorer. 1 Connect the player to your computer. > Your player will be identified as Philips or Philips GoGear in Windows Explorer. 2 Go to Music (Windows Media Player 10) or Playlists (Windows Media Player 11). 3 Delete playlist. Note Any playlist you delete will not have its associated songs removed from your player. 5.4.2 Now playing / Last played You can browse your music and video library or pictures while you are listening to your music or the radio. To return to the play screen, press 1 to navigate back to the main menu and select Now playing. 5.5 Videos You can play the videos that are loaded from the PC using the MediaConverter software. 5.5.1 Find your videos 1 In the root menu of yo...
