Press C twice briefly to step back to the previous chapter/track/file. Using the disc menu r To display the disc menu The menu screen may be displayed first after loading a disc which contains a menu. If you want to display the disc menu while playback, press DISC MENU. Use w/s/a/d buttons to navigate through menu items. To display the title menu Some DVD discs contain title menu that appears while playback. Press TITLE while playback, and use w/s/a/d buttons to navigate through menu items. Resume playback ry The unit records the point where you pressed the STOP (Z) depending on the disc. If “MZ(Resume Stop)” appears on the screen briefly, press PLAY (z) to resume playback (from the scene point). If you press STOP (Z) twice or unload the disc, “Z(Complete Stop)” appears on the screen. The unit will clear the stopped point. Note , The resume point may be cleared when a button is pressed (for example; POWER (1), etc). 4 Operating 18 Operating 4 Operating Advanced Playback Repeating a specific portion ryt This player can repeat a portion you have selected. 1. While playback, press A-B to select [Repeat A] at the beginning of the portion you wish to repeat. 2. Press A-B at the end of the portion. Your selected portion will be repeated continually. 3. To return to normal playback, press A-B. Repeat Playback rtuy During playback, press REPEAT repeatedly to select a desired repeat mode. DVDs Chapter Repeat – The current chapter will be played back repeatedly. Title Repeat – The current title will be played back repeatedly. MOVIE Track Repeat – The current chapter will be played back repeatedly. Repeat All – The current title will be played back repeatedly. Audio CDs/Audio files F– The current track or file will be played back repeatedly. f– All the tracks or files will be played back repeatedly. l – The tracks or files will be played back in random order. fl – All the tracks or files will be played back repeatedly in random order. Note , • If you press V once during Repeat Chapter/Track playback, the repeat playback cancels. • This function may not work on some disc or title. • To return to normal playback, press REPEAT repeatedly to disappear the repeat indicator. Enlarge the playback image (Zoom) ryi 1. During playback or pause mode, press ZOOM to select zoom mode. (100% a 200% a 300% a 400% a 100%) 2. You can move through the zoomed picture using w/s/a/d buttons. 3. To return to the normal picture size, press CLEAR button. Marker Search ry You can start playback from up to nine memorized points. To enter a marker 1. While playback, press MARKER at the desired point. The Marker icon appears on the TV screen briefly. 2. Repeat step 1 to add up to nine markers. To recall a marked scene 1. Press SEARCH and the search menu appears on the screen. 2. Press a number button to select a marker number that you want to recall. Playback starts from the marked scene. To delete a Marker 1. Press SEARCH and the search menu appears on the screen. 2. Use a/d to select a marked scene that you want to delete. 3. Press CLEAR and the marked scene is erased from the search menu. Operating 19 Last Scene Memory rt This unit memorizes the last scene from the last disc that is viewed. The last scene remains in memory even if you remove the disc from the unit or switch off the unit. If you load a disc that has the scene memorized, the scene is automatically recalled. Screen Saver The screen saver appears when you leave the player in Stop mode for about 5 minutes. The unit automatically turns itself off after the Screen Saver is displayed for 5 minutes. Playing from selected time ry 1. Press Q. MENU (m) during playback. The time search box shows the elapsed playing time. 2. Select the [Time] option and then input the required start time in hours, minutes, and seconds from left to right. For example, to find a scene at 2 hours, 10 minutes, and 20 seconds, enter “21020”. 3. Press ENTER (b) to start playback from selected time. Hearing a different audio ry During playback, press AUDIO repeatedly to select desired audio language, audio track or audio channel. Selecting a subtitle language ry During playback, press SUBTITLE repeatedly to select desired subtitle language. Changing subtitle code page y If the subtitle is displayed in broken letter, you can change the subtitle code page to view the subtitle file properly. 1. During playback, press and hold SUBTITLE for 3 seconds. The subtitle code page will appear. 2. Use a/d to select another code until the subtitle is displayed properly then press ENTER (b). Watching from a different angle r If the disc contains scenes recorded at different camera angles, you can change to a different camera angle during playback. During playback, press ANGLE repeatedly to select desired angle. Playing a DVD-VR disc This unit will play DVD-RW disc that is recorded using the Video Recording (VR) format. 1.
