Anleitung Zusammenfassung
The Charger and the tool are specifically designed to work together. Do not attempt to charge any other cordless tool with this Charger. Do not attempt to charge the tool with any other charger. 2. Do not charge the tool when temperature is BELOW 10°C (5OOF) or ABOVE 4 5 O C (113OFI. 3. Do not use charger in damp or wet locations. 4. Do not attempt to use a step-up transformer, an engine generator or DC 5. Do not store the tool in locations where the temperature may reach or exceed 6. Do not incinerate the tool even if it is severely damaged or is completely 7. Be aware that this tool is always in an operating condition, because it does 8. Always be sure you have a firm footing. 9. Hold the tool firmly. power receptacle. 5OoC (122OF). worn out. The tool can explode in a fire. not have to be plugged into an electrical outlet. Be sure no one is below when using the tool in high locations. IO. Keep hands away from rotating parts. 1 1. When drilling into walls, floors or wherever "live" electrical wires may be encountered, DO NOT TOUCH ANY METAL PARTS OF THE TOOL! Hold the tool only by the plastic handle or plastic tool body to prevent electric shock if you drill into a "live" wire. 12. Do not leave the tool running. Operate the tool only when hand-held. 13. Do not touch the drill bit or the workpiece immediately after operation; they may be extremely hot and could burn your skin. 5 Charging Connect the charging plug to the charging connector, then plug in the charger to the power receptacle. Charging takes 3 hours. CAUTION: *The battery in your new tool is not fully charged. You will need to charge it before use. Do not operate the tool during charging. Overcharging more than 2 days considerably shortens t h e battery service life. Always unplug the charger after completing the charge. Charging plug Installing or removing driver bit or drill bit CAUTION : Always set the reversing switch lever to the neutral position before installing or removing the bit. Hold the ring and t u r n the sleeve counterclockwise t o open the chuck jaws. Place the bit in the chuck as far as it will go. Hold the ring firmly and t u r n the sleeve clockwise t o tighten the chuck. To remove the bit, hold the ring and turn the sleeve counterclockwise. Sleeve Ring 6 Holding tool Hold the tool as shown in the figure. When drilling a large diameter hole, hold the tool firmly with both hands. Switch action Move the reversing switch lever to the "FWD" position for clockwise rotation or the "REV" position for counterclockwise. To start the tool, simply pull the trigger. Release the trigger to stop. When the reversing switch lever is in the neutral position, the tool will not start even if you pull the trigger. I\ \ I ill Reversing switch lever FWD CAUTION : 0 Always check the direction of rotation before drilling. *Use the reversing switch lever only when the tool comes to a complete stop. Changing When not operating the tool, keep the reversing switch lever in the neutral position. the direction of rotation before the tool stops may ruin the tool. 7 Drilling ope rat ion 0 Drilling in wood When drilling in wood, best results are obtained with wood drills equipped with a guide screw. The guide screw makes drilling easier by pulling the bit into the workpiece. 0 Drilling in metal To prevent the bit from slipping when starting a hole, make an indentation with a centerpunch and hammer a t the point to be drilled. Place the point of the bit in the indentation and start drilling. Use a cutting lubricant when drilling metals. The exceptions are iron and brass which should be drilled dry. CAUTION : *Pressing excessively on the tool will not speed up the drilling. In fact, this excessive pressure will only serve to damage the tip of your bit, decrease the tool performance and shorten the service life of the tool. *There is a tremendous force exerted on the tool/bit at the time of hole breakthrough. Hold t h e tool firmly and exert care when the bit begins to break through the workpiece. 0 A stuck bit can be removed simply by setting the reversing switch to reverse rotation in order to back out. However, the tool may back out abruptly if you do not hold it firmly. 0 Always secure small workpieces in a vise or similar hold-down device. Nominal diameter of wood screw (mm) Screwdriving operation Place the point of the driver bit in the screw head and apply pressure to the tool. Start the tool. Release the switch trigger just as the screw bottoms out. The electric brake will then stop the tool immediately, preventing the screw and/or bit from being damaged. NOTE : *Make sure that the driver bit is inserted straight in the screw head, or the screw and/or Recommended size of Dilot hole 1mml bit may be damaged. When driving wood screws, predrill pilot holes to make driving easier and to prevent splitting of the workpiece.
