After every use, take all items apart wash and rinse thoroughly. Sterilize using a Philips AVENT Sterilizer or boil for 5 minutes. This is to ensure hygiene • VIA Cups are pre-sterilized and ready for first use straight from the pack. Use pre-sterilized VIA Cups several times and discard if showing signs of wear and tear. Sterilize all cups, lids and adaptors before each use. Use clip to re-seal bag to keep VIA Cups clean/sterile • Wash your hands thoroughly and ensure surfaces are clean before contact with sterilized components • DO NOT use abrasive cleaning agents or anti-bacterial cleaners. DO NOT place components directly on surfaces that have been cleaned with anti-bacterial cleaners. Excessive concentration of detergents may eventually cause plastic components to crack. Should this occur, replace immediately • Dishwasher safe – food colorings may discolor components • Before each use, inspect all items. Throw away at the first sign of damage or weakness. For hygiene reasons, we recommend replacing nipples/spouts after 3 months • Always assemble nipples when wet • Keep nipples in a dry, covered container. DO NOT leave in sunlight when not in use. Never use feeding nipples as dummies, pacifiers or soothers • DO NOT warm contents in a microwave oven as this may cause uneven heating and could scald your baby. Always check food temperature before feeding • Always use these products under adult supervision. DO NOT allow child to play with small parts or walk/run while using bottles or cups • Continuous and prolonged sucking of fluids will cause tooth decay. Drinks other than milk and water, such as fruit juices and flavored sugary drinks are not recommended. If they are used, they should be well diluted and only used for limited periods, not constantly sipped • Only fill VIA Cups to 6oz or 8oz according to base size for storage in the freezer, as contents will expand. VIA Cups are more flexible than standard feeding bottles. Breast milk, formula or solids will heat faster in VIA Cups than in standard feeding bottles/containers. To avoid scalding, allow hot liquids/foods to cool before you fill them. Avoid applying too much pressure when attaching lids or when lids are in place, as this could cause them to leak/spill • Expressed breast milk can be stored in sterilized AVENT Bottles/Containers or VIA Nursers/Cups in the refrigerator for up to 48 hours (not in the door), the freezer for up to 3 months or 6 months in a zero degree freezer. Never refreeze breast milk or add fresh breast milk to already frozen milk.
