If this has occurred, lay the swing down and extend the swingchains from each end of the spreader bar toward acenter point. Place the hanging chain above theswing. Attach the hanging chain to the swing chainsusing the attached “S hooks.” Hanging Instructions: 1. Select a location for your swing that is 6 1/2 feet to8 1/2 feet above ground or floor level and will supporta maximum of 350 lbs. Position hanging systembracket along the center line of the beam on whichyou wish to hang your swing. Make sure beam has no knots or cracks or signs of rot. CAUTION: A. Mounting Hardware included is safety rated ONLYfor load bearing structures. The steel hanging bracketis not safety tested and approved for concretesurfaces, steel or plastic construction, particle boardand the like material, or vinyl siding. B. The steel hanging bracket is to make contact withmounting surface. Structural support unit mustaccommodate maximum safe weight limit of 350pounds. C. Prior to each use of your swing, inspect the ropesand other materials in your swing including but notlimited to: the mounting hardware, installation points, and objects supporting your swing for signs ofweakness or wear. Do not use if there are any signsthat the material or supports are not in propercondition. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS CONCERNINGINSTALLATION, PLEASE CONSULT A BUILDING EXPERT. THE HAMMOCKSOURCE IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR IMPROPER INSTALLATION. 2. Mark drill holes on center line with a pencil wherethe bolt holes are located on the bracket and exposebare wood. 3. Drill holes where indicated by marked spots witha 1/4” drill, approximately 2” deep. 4. Position bracket with bracket holes over drill holes and start bolts by hand. Tighten with wrench or socket. Do not overtighten bolts. Bolts will strip the wood, thus causing a reduction in load capacity. 5. Affix “S” hook to hanging bracket. Hook the chain on the swing to the bottom of “S” hook. However, in order to keep your swing in the best condition, bring it indoorsand out of extreme conditions. A solution of mild soap and water will remove most dirt and isnot harmful to the natural cotton fibers. For stains: spot cleanand rinse thoroughly. Sponge thoroughly with clean water andair dry. WARRANTY INFORMATION: Products of The HammockSource are guaranteed to be free of defects inworkmanship and materials for up to one year after the purchase date. Prolonged exposure to weather conditions including snow, rain, andhumidity are not covered under the warranty nor is damage caused bynormal wear, mildew, or improper care including storage, maintenance, and installation.
