Write the numbers here: Model No. __________________________ Serial No. ___________________________ Install battery Caution • Risk of explosion! Keep bat teries away from heat, sunshine or fire. Never discard batteries in fire. • Risk of product damage! When the apparatus is not used for long periods, remove the batter y. To install batteries into the main unit 1 Open the battery compartment. 2 Insert 4 AAA batteries (not supplied) with correct polarity (+/-) as indicated. 3 Close the battery compartment. To install batteries into the sensor 1 Open the battery compartment. 2 Insert 2 AA batteries (not supplied) with correct polarity (+/-) as indicated. 3 Close the battery compartment. Note • Batteries contain chemical substances, so they should be disposed of properly. Mount on wall You can also mount the main unit on a wall. 1 Choose a location on the wall. 2 Clinch two screws into the wall. 48 mm (1.89") 3 Hook the main unit on the wall. Tip • Ensure the distance between the screws is 48 mm, and leave at least 5 mm to mount the main unit on. Install the stand The batter y compar tment cover can be installed with the inside out to suppor t the unit. Connect power Caution • Risk of product damage! Ensure that the power voltage corresponds to the voltage printed on the back or underside of the apparatus. • Risk of electric shock! When you unplug the AC adaptor, always pull the plug from the socket. Never pull the cord. • Before connecting the AC adaptor, ensure you have completed all other connections. Note • The type plate is located on the back of the main unit. 1 Connect the supplied AC adaptor to the DC socket on the main unit and to the AC outlet. Connect the sensor to the main unit Note • Ensure the sensor is loaded with batteries. 1 Place the sensor to a desired location, within 10 meters away from the main unit. • For first time use, press RESET on both the main unit and the sensor. » The main unit star ts to receive transmission from the sensor. • To update the outdoor temperature, press an hold DATE . Set time and date Set date and time automatically 1 Press and hold SET TIME for 2 seconds. » The clock automatically synchronizes the current Central European time and date. Set date and time manually 1 Press SET TIME. » Year digits begin to blink. 2 Press / to set year. 3 Press SET TIME to confirm. 4 Repeat the above steps to set the month, day, hour, and minute. 5 Set the alarm timer Note • Before you star t, ensure that the clock is set correctly. You can set two separate alarm timings. 1 Press AL 1/AL 2 . » The Alarm 1/ALarm 2 icon is displayed. 2 Press and hold AL 1/AL 2. 3 Press / to set the hour, then press AL 1/AL 2 to confirm. 4 Press / to set the minute, then press AL 1/AL 2 to confirm. Repeat alarm 1 When the alarm rings, press REPEAT ALARM/BRIGHTNESS CONTROL . » The alarm repeats ringing 9 minutes later. Turn on/off the alarm timer Note • Ensure that you already set the alarms successfully. » If the alarm timer is turned on, AL1 or AL2 appears. »If the alarm timer is turned off, disappears. 6 Other features Press AL 1/AL 2 repeatedly to turn on or off the alarm timer. Improve the sensor reception To improve the sensor reception, you can: 1 slide CHANNEL to 2 or 3. 2 Reduce the distance between the sensor and the main unit. 3 Press and hold DATE for 4 seconds to search for the remote signal. Tip • If channel is swif ted,you need to unplug the adaptor and connect power again. Adjust display infomation 1 Press DISPL AY repeatedly to toggle between outdoor temperature, indoor temperature and humidity.
