Geen voeding – De batterijen zijn verkeerd geplaatst (polariteit) • Plaats de batterijen op de juiste manier. – De batterijen zijn leeg • Vervang de batterijen Storingen bij het gebruiken van de adapter – Ongeschikte adapter • Gebruik een Philips SBC 6650 of een andere goede gestabiliseerde 3V DC-adapter Geen geluid /geluid op slechts een kanaal – De stekker van de hoofdtelefoon is niet goed aangesloten • Sluit de stekker goed aan in uitgang p Zwak cassettegeluid – Vuil op de cassettekop • Maak de cassettekop schoon (zie ONDERHOUD) – Het apparaat staat te dicht bij een tv, computer enzovoort • Zet het apparaat uit de buurt van andere elektrische apparatuur De afspeelrichting wordt omgekeerd voor het einde van de cassettekant – Cassette loopt stroef • Probeer de cassette eenmaal helemaal door te spoelen Dit apparaat voldoet aan de radio-ontstoringseisen van de Europese Unie. Het typenummer staat op de achterzijde van het apparaat. Het productienummer bevindt zich in het batterijvakje. ENGLISH POWER SUPPLY Batteries (optional) • Open battery door and insert two alkaline batteries, type R6, UM3 or AA as indicated inside the compartment. Use of Philips POWER LIFE batteries gives 18 hours of cassette playback. • Remove the batteries from the set if they are exhausted or not to be used for a long time. Batteries contain chemical substances, so they should be disposed of properly. Mains adapter (not included) • Connect a 3V adapter to the set’s DC 3V socket and plug the AC adapter into a wall socket. Important! The 1.3 mm centre pin of the 3.5 mm adapter plug must be set to the minus pole (-), as indicated under the DC 3V socket (->+) Always disconnect the mains adapter if you are not using it. RADIO RECEPTION 1. Connect headphones to the p socket. 2. Set the TAPE/RADIO OFF switch to FM or AM – The OPE/BATT indicator lights up. 3. Select the station using the TUNING control. To improve reception FM: The headphone cord functions as the FM aerial. Extend it fully and position the cord. AM: Uses a built-in aerial. Turn the set to find the best position. FRANCAIS ALIMENTATION Piles (en option) • Ouvrez le compartiment a piles et inserez deux piles alcalines de type R6, UM3 ou AA comme indique. Utilisez des piles POWER LIFE de Philips qui vous procureront 18 heures de lecture de cassette. • Enlevez les piles de l'appareil si elles sont usees ou si l'appareil doit rester inutilise pendant une periode de temps prolongee.
