(Daylight saving time) * 12/24-hour format. * User selectable'CorT, temperature format. * User selectable 4 zones (PST, MST, CST, EST). INSTALLING BATTERIE The unit uses two “AA" batteries. To install or replace the batteries, please follow these steps: 1 )Remove the battery compartment. 2)Replace the old batteries with similar model. Notice the correct polarity of the battery. 3)Replace the battery cover. Note:Atfew occasions (interfered by strong magnet field, for instance.) the LCD display might be abnormal(segment missing' etc.) or there might be button malfunction, then reload the batteries until the LCD display and button function is ok. POSSIBLE RECEPTION-INTERFERING SOURCES All radio-receivers of the radio-controlled clock may be subject to certain interferences. Interferences can be caused for example by a thunderstorm or metallic elements in buildings (such as-windows with a metal frame). Also, domestic appliances, which have not been freed as well as TV sets and PCs, can interfere with the reception. Moreover, the transmitter may shut off temporarily. If your alarm clock cannot receive the transmitter, change the location of the alarm clock. If the reception is interfered, hold the button “MONTH/HR/WAVE/ZONE" continuously until the signal search Is started or the time is set manually. NORMAL OPERATION 1 )Press and hold “YEAR/SEC/ALfC/T/DST” button for 3 seconds to select DST function. 2)Press “DATE/12/24/MIN" button to choose 12 or 24 Hr display format. 3)Press "YEAR/SEC/AL/°C/°F/DST” button to choose Celsius or Fahrenheit format for temperature. 4)Press “MODE" button to choose normal time or alarm time display, at alarm time display state it will return to normal time display after 10 seconds if you don't press any button. TIMEZONE, CALENDAR AND TIME SETTING I )At normal time mode, push and hold “MODE" button until the time zone biinks, now enter time zone setting mode 2)Press “MONTH/HR/WAVE/ZONE" button until the correct Time Zone is selected. 3)Press “MODE" button to enter calendar setting mode. 4)Press "YEAR/SEC/AL/'C/T/DST” button until the correct Year Is selected. 5(Press "MONTH/HR/WAVE/ZONE” button until the correct Month Is selected. 6)Press "DATE/12/24/MIN” button until the correct Date is selected. 7)Press “MODE" button to enter time setting mode. 8)Press “MONTH/HR/WAVE/ZONE" button until the correct Hour Is selected. 9)Press "DATE/12/24/MIN" button until the correct Minute is selected. 10)Press “YEAR/SEC/AL/’C/'F/DST" button to reset the current second to zero. II )Press "MODE” button to confirm and return to normal state. FIRST RECEPTION AFTER POWER-UP 1 )lt will start to search for the WWVB signal after installing the batteries. 2)ln an optimal condition, the correct time can be displayed within 3 to 10 minutes. 3)The wave Is will keep flashing after you start the clock. The flashing Icon indicates that radio control circuit is working.
