If you contact Philips, you will be asked for the model and serial number of this apparatus.The model number and serial number are on the bottom of the apparatus. Inser t 6 x LR6/AA Cells batteries (not supplied) with correct polarity (+/-) as indicated. 3 Close the batter y compar tment. Connect power Caution • Risk of product damage! Make sure that the power supply voltage corresponds to the voltage printed on the back or the underside of the unit. • Risk of electric shock! When you unplug the AC adaptor, always pull the plug from the socket. Never pull the cord. Note • Install the device near the power supply socket and where the AC power plug can be easily reached. DC IN Turn on After connecting the power, the device switches to the last selected source automatically. Switch to standby mode Press to switch the device to standby mode. EN 7 4 Listen to FM radio Tune to FM radio stations Note • Position the antenna as far as possible from TV,VCR, or other radiation source. • For optimal reception, fully extend and adjust the position of the antenna. 1 Press SOURCE repeatedly to select FM source. 2 Press and hold / for three seconds. » [SEARCH] (search) is displayed. » The radio tunes to a station with strong reception automatically. 3 Repeat step 2 to tune to more stations. To tune to a weak station: Press / repeatedly until you find optimal reception. Store FM radio stations automatically Note • You can store up to 30 FM radio stations. In FM mode, press and hold PROG for three seconds. » AUTO (auto) is displayed. » The device stores all available FM radio stations and broadcasts the first available station automatically. Store FM radio stations manually 1 Tune to an FM radio station. 2 Press PROG. » The preset number is displayed. 3 4 Press / repeatedly to select a number. Press PROG to confirm. 5 Repeat steps 1 to 4 to store more stations. Note • To remove a pre-stored station, store another station in its place. Select a preset radio station In FM mode, press / to select a preset number. 8 EN 5 Play Play from USB Note • Make sure that the USB storage device contains playable audio content. 1 Inser t the USB storage device into the socket on the top of the device. 2 Press SOURCE repeatedly to select the USB source. » Play star ts automatically. Play from SD card • Make sure that the SD card contains playable audio content. 1 Inser t the SD card into the SD slot on the top of the device. 2 Press SOURCE repeatedly to select the SD source. » Play star ts automatically. Play control / Select a folder / Select an audio file Pause or resume play Play a track or an entire program repeatedly Play tracks randomly VOL+/-Adjust volume DBB Press to turn the Dynamic Bass Boost (DBB) on/off.
