DISC PLAYING 1. Open the CD tray with the OOPENO button. 2. Insert the CD with the printed side facing upwards and push the disc gently unit it clicks so that the disc fits into the pivot. 3. Press the CD door to close. On display windows When you press O O, the display window shows : Total number of tracks First track playing begins During play The track number of the current selection appears. When O O is press during play, total number of tracks on the disc will be displayed and the unit still on. If O O is pressed again the unit will be returned to full stop mode. VARIOUS PLAYING MODES VARIOUS PLAYING MODES During playback, every time the OPLAY MODEO key is pressed, the mode would be changed to the next one as follow : NORMAL PLAY -> INTRO -> SINGLE MUSIC -> PROGRAM (PGM) -> RANDOM(RND) *Repeat play of each mode is possible. NORMAL PLAY - Playing the whole disc There is no play mode indication in the display window. To repeat the whole disc, press OREPEAT / ENTERO. Play mode of the second track INTRO PLAY - Playing the first about ten seconds of all the selections 1. Press OPLAY MODEO during play until O O disappears in the display window. 2. Press OPLAY MODEO to begin the OINTROO play, O Oappears again in the display window. 3. Pressing O O again will cease the OINTROO play and continue playback in the NORMAL play mode. SINGLE MUSIC - Playing only one selection 1. Press OPLAY MODEO during play until the track number flashes. 2. Select desired track to be played only once by pressing OO O. 3. To play only repeatedly, press OREPEAT / ENTERO. O or PGM (Program) PLAY - Playing the selections in the desired order 1. Press OPLAY MODEO during play until OPGMO flashes in the display window. 2. Press O O or O O to select the desired selection. PGM 3. Press OREPEAT / ENTERO to register track no. 4 for example, as the first selection. The track no. indication will be returned to O O. PGM 4. Repeat step 2 and 3. 5. Press O O, OPGMO stops flashing and program play starts. * To repeat program play, press OREPEAT / ENTERO. PGM * If O O is pressed or if the lid as opened, all the programs would be cleared. * If the program mode is exited by means of the OPLAY MODEO key, all the programs would still remain in memory. Program edition To check : Press OREPEAT / ENTERO lightly during programming before you press O O. Each time OREPEAT / ENTERO is pressed the track number appears in the display window. To change : When checking press either O O or O O to alter track number for the program currently displayed. Press OREPEAT / ENTERO to register the newly selected track into memory. To erase : When checking, if the track numer of a program is selected as O O, all the subsequent programs starting from and including that program will be cancelled. SHUFFLE PLAY - Playing the selections in random order Press OPLAY MODEO until ORND O appears in the display windows. Random play starts from the next track, or when O O is pressed. Some swivelling symbols will be shown on the CD display and a short period of time is needed for track shuffling. To play the selections in random order repeatedly, press OREPEAT / ENTERO. After every selection has been played in random order, they will be reshuffled and played repeatedly in a different order each time. RND RND * To locate the beginning of the track being played : press O O. * To locate the next track : press O O. However, you cannot locate a previous track even if you keep “ O pressed. RND REPEAT PLAY - Playing the whole disc continuously To repeat the whole disc, press OREPEAT / ENTERO will appear in the display window. MAINTENANCE Cleaning the unit Do not use volatile chemicals on this unit. Clean by lightly wiping with a soft cloth. Cleaning CD If the CD skips or will not play, the disc may need to be cleaned. Before playing, wipe the disc in a circular motion from the centre out with a cleaning cloth. After playing, store the disc in its case. Handing the disc Only touch the CD on the edge to avoid finger prints on its surface. Do not stick paper or tape nor write anything on the surface.
