Press Mute button or turn Volume knob to cancel mute. 9. Scan: Scans through radio stations. 10. Stereo/Mono: Selects Mono or Stereo mode for FM radio bands. 11. Station Store/Select (A.PS): Scans presets in all bands, plays each for 5 seconds. 12. CD Control/Radio Memory: Stores six station presets in each radio band, and controls four CD functions: – Press to pause CD. Press and hold to return to first track – Browses first 10 seconds of each track – Repeats current track – Plays tracks in random order 13. LOUD: Provides loudness contour. As volume increases, effect diminishes. 14. Display: Selects either radio frequency/track information display or clock display. Press button to display time. Press and hold to enter hour setting mode, then turn volume knob to set hour. Pressing DISP again enters minute setting mode, then turn volume knob to set minutes. Speaker Output: Provides right/left speaker outputs (8-ohm minimum) via pluggable screw terminals. 6. Antenna: Provides pluggable screw terminal inputs for the AM loop and FM dipole antennas. Audio and Menu Select Modes Audio Mode is selected by pressing the Audio/Menu Select Mode button (7). Entering the Audio Mode allows the user to adjust Bass, Treble, and Balance settings. Use the Volume Knob to make the adjustments. Select the Menu Mode by pressing and holding the same Audio/Menu Select Mode button. The Audio/Menu Select button then scrolls through the following options: DSP, SEEK, CLOCK and VOL. Use the Volume Knob to change the settings. The DSP feature offers three EQ presets: CLASS (Classical), ROCK, and POP, as well as FLAT (No EQ boost) and OFF options. BEEP turns the confirmation beep ON and OFF. The beep will sound whenever an adjustment is made or a button depressed. The default setting is OFF. SEEK allows the user to adjust the function of the Station Adjust buttons (17). When in Seek 1, the Station Adjust button will scan and stop on a strong station signal. In Seek 2, the Station Adjust button will manually increment to a desired frequency. CLOCK allows the ability to switch between 12-hour or 24-hour format. 5 Audio and Menu Select Modes (cont.)
