Always check, before each use, that both the electric lead and the extension are not damaged. The hedge trimmer must only be used if the electric lead and the extension are in good condition. Do not leave the appliance unattended without having removed the plug from the electric socket. While cutting, be careful not to damage the extension lead; if this should happen, immedia tely remove the plug from the socket. Remember that after switching off the appliance the blades continue to move for a few seconds. Do not use the hedge trimmer in the rain or in extremely damp conditions. Those under 16 years of age must not use the appliance. The hedge trimmer must be kept out of the reach of children. While the hedge trimmer is working, keep people and animals away. L WA Starting up Starting up Before switching on, it is a good idea to oil the blades. Connect the extension lead to the hedge trimmer using the pull out cable stop, only when you reach where you will be working. To start up, pull one of the trigger switches under the rear grip and the lever switch inserted into the front grip (Fig. 1).
