Anleitung Zusammenfassung


Caller ID information is retrieved between the first and second ring. If a call is answered before the information has a chance to register, no entry can be made into the unit’s memory. The display may show ERROR. CID DIAL 1. To dial the number of an entry in memory, press DIAL CID. The information last received by the unit shows in the display. 2. Use SCROLL UP or DOWN to find the entry you want. 3. Press DIAL CID or SELECT to accept an entry. If necessary, the unit prompts you with four dialing choices: telephone number, telephone number with area code, telephone number with area code and long- distance prefix and telephone number with international dialing prefix. 555-1234 317-555-1234 1-317-555-1234 4. Use SCROLL UP or DOWN to choose the appropriate number. 5. Press DIAL CID or SELECT to initiate the call. The only active button during this activity is CANCEL. When dialing is complete, the display will prompt you to “Please pick up your phone.” If no action is taken within 45 seconds, the unit hangs up. If you try to dial with no CID entry, the unit prompts you with “There is no ID in the memory.” If you try to select a blocked ID, the unit prompts you with “Blocked num. Can’t be dialed.” If you try to select an unknown ID entry, the unit prompts you with “Unknown num. Can’t be dialed.” PROGRAMMING CID ENTRIES Up to 50 frequently called numbers stored in the unit’s memory can be tagged as a Very Important Person (VIP) ID or be programmed with customized settings. If you try to program more than 50 entries, the unit will prompt you with the following: VIP/PROGRAMMED ID DIRECTORY IS FULL. (50 MAX) VIP or programmed entries are denoted with a “*” by the entry. This tag allows you to attach certain custom settings to the entry for future activity. TO PROGRAM AN ID: 1. Press PROGRAM CID. 2. Use SCROLL UP and DOWN to find the entry you want. 3. Press PROGRAM CID or SELECT to make your choice. If the ID was already programmed or chosen as a VIP entry, the unit will prompt you with the following: THIS ID ALREADY PROGRAMMED. MODIFY? YES/ NO If you select NO, the VIP/Programmed ID status remains unchanged and the same entry will show on screen. SCROLL UP or DOWN to move to another entry. If you select Yes, the unit will prompt you with the following: Next, the unit prompts you to customize the entry. FOR 317-555-1212 CUSTOM SETTINGS STANDARD SETTINGS REJECT CALL DO NOT DISTURB CUSTOM SETTING If you select Custom Setting, the number you are programming options for will show in the display throughout the process. After selecting Custom Settings, select a greeting for that telephone number. FOR 123-456-7890: GREETING 1 GREETING 2 Second, select the number of rings after which the unit should pick up. FOR 123-456-7890: TOLL SAVER (2/5) ANSWER ON RING 2 FOR 123-456-7890 SAVE AS A VIP NUMBER? YES/ NO If you select YES, the entry will be tagged as VIP ID. Selecting NO will remove the VIP tag, if any, from the ID. Third, select Screen Calls On or Screen Calls Off. If On, you will hear the caller leave a message. If Off, you will not. FOR 123-456-7890: SCREEN CALLS ON SCREEN CALLS OFF Fourth, select the tone you would like the unit to use to identify that someone from this number is calling. FOR 123-456-7890: NO TONE/ SILENCE DISTINCT TONE 1 And last, select the length of message you want this caller to be able to leave. FOR 123-456-7890: 2 MINUTES 4 MINUTES STANDARD SETTING If you select Standard Setting, the unit automatically programs the number with the same settings as those for general callers. Choosing this option with a VIP tag ensures that the number will be kept as a VIP number and will not be bumped from the unit’s memory when the total number of calls exceeds 99. If you do not tag the number as VIP and choose Standard Setting, the number will be saved as a regular entry and will be bumped from the unit’s memory when the total number of calls exceeds 99. Blocked numbers and unknown numbers cannot be programmed. REJECT CALLS This feature allows you to refuse calls from specific telephone numbers. If you select Reject Call, the unit will automatically default to Greeting 8 (“Your call is not accepted.”) and answer on the second ring. It will set itself to Screen Calls Off, No tone/Silenceand Greeting Only. DO NOT DISTURB If you select Do Not Disturb, the unit will prompt you with the following: FOR 123-456-7890 GREETING 1 GREETING 2 You can select one of five greeting available with this setting. The unit will then automatically answer on the second ring with the selected greeting. It will set itself to Screen Calls Off, No tone/Silenceand a message limit of 2 minutes. The programmed number appears with an asterisk ( ) as confirmation that you have * tagged it as a VIP or attached customized settings.
