Not used Inputs track numbers CX-DV1500EUC Loading a DVD/Video CD/CD 1 Turn the ignition on to the accessory position. Note: Parking in direct sunlight can produce very high temperatures inside your vehicle. Give the interior a chance to cool down before loading a disc. 2 Slide the cover on the front of the player down. 3 Insert the disc with the printed side facing up. Notes: Double-sided discs both 5" (12 cm) and 3" (8 cm) are not compatible with this player. 4 Close the cover until it clicks into place. • Always close the cover completely when using the player. Ejecting a Disc 1 Open the cover on the player, then press ± (EJECT). 2 Remove the disc and close the door. • Pull the disc out as shown in the figure. Note: Make sure to eject a disc before leaving the car. High temperatures inside your vehicle could cause damage, such as warp, to a disc. Direct sunlight. 2. Dirty, dusty and damp areas. 3. Near car heaters. 4. On the seats or dashboard. Disc Cleaning Use a dry soft cloth to wipe the surface. If the disc is quite dirty, use a soft cloth slightly mois-tured with isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol. Never use solvents such as benzine, thinner or conventional record cleaners as they may mar the surface of the disc. Note: A disc may become somewhat scratched (although not enough to make it unusable) depending on you handle it and conditions in the usage environment. Note that these scratches are not an indication of any problem with the player. Preparing New Discs with Rough Spots A new disc may have rough edges on its inside and outside edges. If a disc with rough edges is used, the proper setting will not be performed and the player will not play the disc. Therefore, remove the rough edges in advance by using a ball-point pen or pencil as shown on the right. To remove the rough edges, press the side of the pen or pencil against the inside and outside edges of the disc. Discs of PAL system CD-ROM • CDV CD-G Label side Do not bend. Do not touch the underside of the disc. Wipe the disc from center toward the outside edge. Rough spots on outside edge CX-DV1500EUC Basic Play Before operating the remote control, make sure that the KEY LOCK switch is released. 1 While the car is stopped (with the parking brake engaged): Press PLAY. Playback starts. When a menu appears on the screen In case of most of the interactive DVDs or Video CDs with playback control, a menu appears on the screen.
