Speakers can be painted before or after installation. Paint the grille separately using spray paint. For best results, thin the paint before spraying grille so the paint will not clog the grille holes. 1. Carefully remove the grille by lifting it off with the supplied tool or other pointed metal object. If the speaker is not yet installed, pushing the rotating wall clamp forward will also release the grille from the inside. 2. Remove the center portion of the provided masking/tracing template to use as a masking template. To paint the speaker housing, mask the inner area with the masking template. Mask thoroughly to protect the drivers and baffles while painting. 3. Using latex wall paint or aerosol spray paint, paint the housing and allow to dry completely. 4. Once paint has dried, remove mask from speaker housing. If the speaker is already installed, replace the grille. If not, leave the grille off and continue the installation process.
